LA

This past weekend the race was in LA... it was held in the dodger stadium! Only baseball, the pope and the rolling stones have ever had events in the stadium, so it was kind of a big deal that Supercross was there! I called in sick to work on friday due to my horrible headache on thursday! So ryan, me and my mom headed up to LA.. I was excited, i had never really spent much time in LA. Ryan had a meet and great at DC off of melrose. My mom and I went and found a little cafe off of Melrose and ate some lunch while ryan was signing autographs. The signing only lasted 30 minutes thanks to travis pastrana needing to leave! Thanks Travis! So we headed to our hotel the W in hollywood! DC paid for the athletes to stay there. The hotel was amazing! We got all checked in and headed out in Hollywood! We walked all down hollywood blvd saw A LOT of interesting things! We saw some crack being done, we saw a lot of sex and smoke shops, we saw characters dressed up and we saw wax figures! All in all it was fun!

Saturday was the race... ugh! ryan was still feeling some deficits from his head so he had to sign a release to race! He rode practice and was not riding very good! He qualified 18th! I was a little worried but I knew that God had a plan. Surprisingly i didnt feel anxious at all.. i was calm all day. I know that God was in control. Its weird because its the first time i have felt that way in a long time. Ryan and i had some talks becuase he was SO down on himself. I told him that it didnt matter what place he got and he needed to snap out of the funk he was in!! So the night show started.. all of our good friends came to support ryan.. its so nice to be able to watch races with friends who really arnt involved in the MX scene and who love ryan no matter what! He got a good start in the qualifier and ended up third. The main event started and ryan had a horrible start! I swear he was 15th! I thought oh no! Then thanks to roczen and cunningham going down again! He was in fourth! He was in fourth from about the 6th lap till the last lap! He was able to pass tickle due to him not being patient with Eli tomac and then ryan was right on Tomac... I thought he was going to get second! But he ended third which was great! He got pushed to fourth in points but I dont care.. Im so proud of the way he turned his day around! PLUS Fergie was at the podium so we got a picture with her! SO SO SO pround of ryan and SO SO SO thankful for jesus christ and his plan for ryan!
