Cloud 9

my eggo is preggo... holy cow did i just say that? Ryan and I have never been happier with life and each other. Its amazing how in love we are.. especially after all we have been through together. Ryan and I put a lot of thought into when we should start a family. So we thought we would aim for the next off season break... if it happens okay if not theres always next year. I had a window of about 4 months where i could get pregnant and the baby would be born in the off season. I thought we should try the earliest we could! We planed and i downloaded apps on my phone to help find out when i was ovulating and we did the every other day method for about two weeks.. and sure enough it worked! Im writing this down mainly for my memory so if anyone does read this bear with me...

I pee'd on a stick on December 29th 2010. I didnt think that it would be positive but I thought what the heck! I was standing in the bathroom and it came back positive right away! I kinda freaked out for a minute. I wanted to tell ryan in a fun way so i told him it was negative. Then i called my good friend amy who has a five month old and i freaked out on the phone with her!

So I then plotted up a way to tell ryan! It was raining that day so ryan wasnt riding so we were stuck in the house together! So i had to be sneaky! I made a onsie that said "I <3 my dad" then on the back it said MORAIS 71! I wrapped it up while he was running a qucik errand.. When he got home I told him I had a late christmas present for him. He unwrapped it and said "youre pregnant?!?" It was really fun and cute!

 

We then went to dinner with ryans mom so we had her come to our house first.. I made two cakes.. one said "Save the Date" and the other had the EDD "9-10-11" She didnt really understand at first but she did eventually and was very excited for us!  I told my parents I wanted to skype with them but they were at the Marshalls so I had to wait a WHOLE day which was killing me!

I told my parents on December 30th... I was skyping with my mom and i asked her to go get dad so we could all talk! I made another onsie that said "coming soon" and then "9-10-11" on the back! I held it up and my parents started crying! They were so happy!

Its been SO hard to keep it a secret mainly because a lot of people knew we were trying.. so people will ask me.. Are you pregnant yet? And I cant keep a straight face and say no! So most of our immediate friends know... none of our family knows yet.. we were waiting until we had our first ultrasound and everything went good!

Today we had our 6 week doctor check up... I chose Dr. Safie because when I see her in the hospital she is so kind, caring and compassionate. PLUS she always picks up her phone when i call. So I called a couple weeks ago and they told me my first appointment would be at 6 weeks. I was actually surprised I thought it would be later! I was excited! So Today Ryan and I went to the doctor filled out a lot of paperwork.. peed in a cup and finally got to see Dr. Safie. She did a vaginal ultrasound.. it was amazing to see our baby! We got to see the heart beat and yes there was only ONE! WHEW! 

One last thing... i am due on the last national at Pala.. So as long as the baby doesnt come early.. We will be golden! No delivering with out hubby!

Dr. Safie said so far so good and the heart beat is strong! According to my LMP i am due 9-10-11 making me 6 weeks and 4 days.... however the baby is measuring 2 days late making the due date 9-12-11 and 6 weeks and 2 days. We all joked as long as it isnt born in between those two days. Having the ultra sound and actually seeing the baby made it so REAL... i am going to have a baby! Its so amazing. God is GREAT! I am so happy and feel like i am floating on cloud nine!
