Ryan Update

Ryans recovery is going very well! For all those who have a weak stomach turn away because there will be some vulgar pictures! The first few days were a little rough. Ryan was in a lot of pain, not sleeping at all, but we made it through. He is now 12 days post op and doing great! I ended up having to call in to work because ryan asked me to be with him and i felt so bad. Poor guy couldnt even walk and I couldnt leave him. One day post op i changed his dressing as it was saturated with blood. Actually day one is the best it ever looked!

Now ryans hip is very bruised to below his knee. He has started physical thereapy and doing really well! We are going on walks daily and he is walking with his leg straight no longer a limp! Ryan is one tough guy! Hes been through a lot! I am so proud of him always. 

I went back to work about a week after his surgery. He did well home alone all day. I just feel so bad leaving him at home all day for 12 hours and he cant leave/drive.  He is driving now so thats good. I still have to help him get dressed but he is doing other wise amazing!  Our census at work has been very low so i was on call saturday but got called in.. YAY! Only worked 8 hours but made a full days pay! They put me on call on sunday and never got called in.. Ryan and i spent the whole day on the couch! We had dinner with andrew since he was in town but didnt do much besides our daily walk! Another joy of being a mx wife.. taking care of your injured husband is a full time job in itself! 

Baby and I have been doing well. No more sickness or blurry vision. I do have an appointment with my neurologist tomorrow so hopefully she can tell me whats going on!  Baby is growing like crazy! I am getting bigger every day! I am still having a hard time with my weight but i have to keep reminding myself that I am growing a baby. I just hate looking in the mirror at my self and feeling SO gross! Only 4 more months though! Ryan and I registered at Babies R Us yesterday so that was fun! Really looking forward to all my showers this summer! It was fun to watch ryan get into what he wanted for the baby! He is glowing more than I am! hes going to be such a great dad! I am feeling well beside the occasional headache. I am still enjoying my sleep! I slept 11 hours last night! I am starting to get nervous that I am going to have a baby and life will never be the same. I am trying to enjoy my alone time. I think its just normal pre baby jitters. I know once I hold my baby life will never be the same in a good way. Really anxious to see his face!  Here is my 6 month belly! 

My precious nephew Hudson needs to have cataract surgery. He was supposed to have surgery yesterday but they went in and found a blood vessel so another surgeon has to do the procedure now. Poor little guy. Please pray for his health, his vision, and that he doesnt get hungry while Jacki is unable to feed him prior to surgery. He is a tough little man. He will have the cataract removed on friday.
