Las Vegas and surgery

This last weekend was the infamous LAS BEGAS supercross! It is something that i think everyone looks forward to. Its just a fun race to be at.. you can always feel the energy in the air. This year proved to be no different. With three different championships to be decided and an east west shootout, everyone was excited for the race! This year ryan and i packed up the car a day early and headed to vegas on Thursday! I wasn't really too excited about it but once we got there it was really fun and i don't think we will ever go back up on a friday again! Ryan had a DC shoe signing at the mall at Planet Hollywood. So it worked out perfect... ryan did his signing, got lots of cool clothes and i walked around the rest of the mall.. I found a dress i could wear to the banquet since ryan didn't approve of the one i picked out.. =] Then we headed back to the hotel hung out at the bar for about two minutes and went to bed! Oh ya.. i gambled 15 bucks and lost! what a surprise!
Friday was a great day! We woke up and ate breakfast and then just relaxed! We headed to the pool around 11 for a few hours but it was SO hot and they were charging 15 dollars for water and you weren't allowed to bring your own water in! Prego thought she was going to die! So we ate lunch at the Pink taco which is an amazing little Mexican restaurant in the hard rock! Andrew and Jacki got into town so I went and hung out with jacki, emma and i held hudson for hours! It was a perfect afternoon! Ryan had a dealer show that ended up going really late so he met us for dinner with jacki and her friends and my family! kristin from high school ate dinner with us too! It was SO good to see her and catch up!
Saturday was the race... jacki and i went out a little later than the boys... I should have gone out even later! It was SO hot and windy. My poor feet were swelling! Once i sat down i didn't move. I didn't want to go into the sun and get dehydrated so i stayed in the shade and hung out with kristin! The races were really good races.. Ryan didn't ride very good and got about 7th. Its officially time for him to move up! Not only because he finally pointed out but its time! I think he is ready too! Las Vegas marked ryans last lite race.. this season has been one of the worst seasons i remember him having but i am proud no matter what. He has overcome so much this past year. Ryan went out after the race and i curled up in bed and slept!!
Sunday was Mothers day/ ryan and i's two year anniversary! WOW time really flys by! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were dating and i was hassling him about my ring! Actually for that matter it feels like yesterday we were doing the long distance thing! Now we are two years into our marriage with a baby on the way! Crazy! Ryan and Andrew had a meeting at 11 and then they both came back and slept! So my mom, jacki, and I hung out at starbucks and people watched! I held hudson more which is amazing! He really is the cutest little thing in the world! We then headed to the banquet! Ryan and i just stayed for the awards.. i was tired and he was tired so we just called it a night! We headed home monday of coarse stopping at the best del taco ever in Barstow!

So ryan's been having a lot of hip pain and leg numbness along with some lovely grinding and popping noises. Its been great but hes been able to ride through the pain for a while now and finally decided to get it checked out!  Two MRIs and a nerve test later they decided that its best for ryan to have surgery..  At first it was just going to be a scope of his hip and then it turned into opening him back up and going in. He broke his leg in 2000 and he finally couldn't ride any more! So thursday morning ryan went in at 6 am and was taken back to surgery around 745... Dr. Reiman came out once about an hour and a half into it and gave us an update. Two hours later Dr. Alexander came out and said everything is going good and they finished the arthroscopic part and are starting to turn him over and open him up! two more hours later Dr. Alexander came out and said they were finally finished! Ryan was in surgery for four hours... he had a lot done! His Labrum was torn (which according the the MRI it wasn't) but it is now repaired, He had a flap of cartilage on his ball of his socket that was removed. And he also removed a large bone fragment. Once they turned him over they tried to take out his previous two bones they broke right away. Which is no big deal. He also shaved off a large bone spur in the back of his hip, and his sciatic nerve was completely meshed and intertwined in with scar tissue. So he had to clean all of that up! So ryan had a pretty big hip tune up! His recovery hasn't been that bad.. hes been very grouchy and very picky about everything like always! He said its amazing how well he can feel his foot again! So he should be riding in around 6 weeks. Looks like he really needed that tune up and things should hopefully be on the up swing from here! 

I had a rough week with my vision... seeing the neurologist in a few weeks so hopefully that will clear things up! At my check up doctor said everything is going well! The baby had hiccups on the doplar. It was so cute and it melted my heart! I really cant wait to meet my little boy!
