Costa Rica HONEYMOON

Ryan and I finally went on our honeymoon! We decided to go to costa rica... everyone asks me.. WHY costa rica.. I explain that we wanted to go to hawaii but it was very expensive and costa rica was very affordable. After I found a hotel i realized that it is actually beautiful! The trip started out rough because I worked Sunday and Monday and then we left for costa rica on a red eye monday night... TIRED hannah! But i slept on the first flight... yay! We had about four hours layer in houston which we slept most of! Our flights to costa rica went well! Once we got to San Jose we went to get our rental car.. we stood in line for 2 hours! I was hungry, nauseated, my left eye was blurry.. it was not good! We finally got our car and found out the main highway was closed so we had to drive an extra hour around through crazy mountains! I threw up the WHOLE way to our hotel (thank goodness for the barf bags i stole from work). Once we got to the hotel I started to feel better! Thank goodness! We stayed at the Marriott Los Suenos in Herradura bay. It was gorgeous.

On wednesday we just decided to relax and enjoy our time in costa rica and then try to find stuff to do! We enjoyed the pool very much... It was really hot and humid so when you were in the sun we immediately started sweating! So the pool was amazing! we ordered drinks... it was fabulous! We found the grocery store in Herredura and a subway! So we got sandwiches for lunch to save money. It worked out really good. We bought tons of bottled water so we werent paying 5 dollars for one! It saved my pregnant body! We walked up to the Los Suenos marina where they were having a deep sea fishing turnament! It was fun to look at all the very expensive boats in the marina. They also had 4 other resteraunts to choose from! Yummy!  The hotel resteraunts were ok... once i found french fries I was in heaven!

Thursday we decided to go ziplining... there were a couple of different tours we could choose from but we chose the one that took us to the top of the mountain in a tram and then we would zip line down. It turned out to be perfect since i really shouldnt be zip lining! It was a more mellow zip line tour but worked out perfect! It actually made me exhausted so we spent the remainder of the day at the pool.

 Friday we planned to go explore the beach town jaco! Well on the way ryan hit a HUGE pot hole and we got TWO flat tires! once we called the rental car company and we got our new car it was around 1 so we just decided to hit he pool instead! It actually turned out to be a great day!

Saturday we thought we would take a nice hike in a national park about 20 minutes away from our hotel. It was called Carara national park. It started out great! We were walking and enjoying the beautiful rainforrest. Costa Rica Has the most amazing trees! We were looking for Mccalls (even though it was too late in the morning to see them) Well we were walking and im loving it taking pictures of all the beauty and ryan says "Hannah get over here quick!' I look down and I see the BIGGEST snake i have ever seen in my entire life (not in a cage)!! I freaked out and just started running! The snake was a good 2-3 inches thick and about 5-6 feet long! It was so scary! The snake didnt even see ryan or I and was very stealth! I was hyperventilating and we called the hike good! On the way out we saw some Mccalls!!  So we then went to jaco and walked around! Its a beach/party town! nothing amazing to report. The beaches were rocky but the waves were pretty big!  We did enjoy a nice italian dinner in the marina!

Cant forget about SUPERCROSS! daytona was on live and we got speed so of corse what did we do after dinner? YUP get some cheesecake and watch daytona live on speed! Happy honeymoon! 

Sunday we went on a catameran boat trip to tortuga Island. It was fun at first... the catamaran boat ride was two hours to this island and it really took it out of me! Once we got to the island we rented beach chairs. I lounged in the shade most of the day and occasionally went and got in the ocean! Mainly because you had to pay to use the bathroom when the ocean is free! We ate lunch there, walked around a little bit did some more lounging and then it was time to go back! The boat ride home was SO long... i just wanted to get back to the hotel! We were gone from 7 in the morning to 6 at night! It was a long day for me! But ryan had a good time!

Sunday night we took a night swim after dinner at the bar.. it was really fun! 

Monday morning we got massages in the couples suite... it was amazing! I got my first prenatal massage!  Then we headed to the pool! Ordered lunch and drinks at the pool and just enjoyed our last day in costa rica! 

Tuesday we headed home... sad face! But we SO enjoyed the trip and the time we got to spend together and just celebrate our marriage and love for each other.  We almost missed our flight in houston due to the long line in customs. We only had an hour.. but we made it! We made it because ryan ran as I walked! Poor lil preggers couldnt run! We didnt have time for food and almost starved baby to death! But we made our flight and were going to get home on time! 

All in all we had the best time..
