Baby Update

Holy MOLY! I am almost full term. 36 weeks and one day! Yup 9 months preggo! Reality is sinking in that I am going to have a baby VERY SOON! Honestly, I am starting to freak out! Am I going to be a good mom? Will I love my baby as much as everyone else loves there baby? What will i do without sleep? Am I too selfish to be having a baby? and on and on! I know that everything i am feeling is normal but I am really really freaked out! I think once i meet my little man all those fears and anxiety will go away. Minus the whole sleep thing! At the same time i am feeling really excited! I am SO excited to see what our little man looks like, his behavior, and what color hair he will have! People often ask me.. "are you just over it already?" and really as much as i cant wait to meet our man i really am not over it! I feel great and I don't get migraines now! I was used to having migraines more often then not having migraines! I am fearful that I am going to forget what it feels like for him to kick me, move, roll and even his annoying hiccup's in my belly! I actually have quite a bit of energy still and only have a hard time in the heat. I get dehydrated very very easy but I always have just a little easier now! I am feeling prepared between my three showers! Almost have everything I need... we did our maternity pictures and the nursery is almost completed! All we need now is baby!

Ryan and I just completed our baby preparation class! yes we learned all about when to go to the hospital, breathing routines, and how to push out a baby! HA! if only it were that easy but it was helpful to both of us. A little awkward when we had to get into positions and breathe! Haha but i am glad we took it! We have a maternity tour on Monday and even though I work at the hospital i have never been to the new unit! Its pretty locked down plus they don't want us "dirty" people in the unit! So I am excited to see the new rooms and where out little man will be brought into the world!

I had my last day of work yesterday! 36 weeks pregnant and still on my feet for 12 hours with hardly any swelling! I am pretty proud of my self! All my coworkers gave me a hard time and joked that I would be on leave at 5 months! I honestly feel like I could work longer! But the state gives you 4 weeks prior to delivering so I am going to take it! For a few reasons... I feel like its the last time in my life I can be selfish, sleep in, and do what I want to do when I want to do it! Like go to target for example! I also was talking to my boss and she said I remember when i was pregnant I was always so scared I would go into labor after working a 12! And I thought holy cow.. I couldn't labor and push out a baby after 12 long hours of work! So I am very happy with taking my 4 weeks prior to having my baby! Yesterday was my last day and my co-workers got me a cake! It was SO sweet of them! I really didn't expect it at all! It was an adorable cookie monster cake! They tried to get me one that said "Oh baby baby baby OH! for my love of Justin beiber! it was really awesome of them! I really sometimes do not like where I work but the people that I work with make it so amazing! I am planning on taking as much time as I can for our little man!

Ryan had his first race back this weekend! It was his first race where no one was with him! He had to go early to get there for press day. So he left early Wednesday morning before I went to work. He had a long day of traveling but made it safely! He had press day on Thursday and got to ride the track. Friday he did the news in new york! Saturday was the race! I am SO proud of him. Everyone knows that outdoors are not Ryan's strength not because he cant do it but due to his lack of experience! The more he rides them the better he will get at it! He got 12th overall which doesn't sound very good but with how fast all these young kids are these days I am very proud of him. Its a building block and I know he will improve. He is on his way home now and I really cant wait to see him! Five days has been too long! He has this next weekend off and then will travel the next two weekends. Hopefully baby stays put while hes gone!
