off season

Its november... that officially means off season for ryan. Off season means no traveling every weekend for a race however it does mean being at the test tracks from 8 till sun down plus road bike rides and gym work outs. By no means is there ever really an "off season" However, no races on weekends means fun hubby/wifey time! This weekend ryan and i got invited to go to Wagon Wheel. Wagon Wheel is a country concert where they have multiple artists come and play sets through out the day! Ryan and I aren't really into country but we had good company and it was really fun!

On Sunday, the Westbrook family hosted the first annual chili cook off! Ryan and I had never made chili before... so what do i do when i don't know what to do? CALL MOM! mom googled up Paula Deans spicy chili recipe for me! So ryan and i made the chili together.. ryan sliced and diced the onions and the green peppers and i combined the recipe in our crock pot!  Then Four couples gathered at the westbrook casa for the event! We didnt win the cook off but we had fun doing it and i learned how to make chili! Already looking forward to the second annual chili cook off!
