Rainbow Cake

On a boring saturday night ryan and i decided to make a cake... ive been wanted to try a rainbow cake for a while so i attempted. heres how it went....

We started with the cake batter... yum! I just used a normal white betty crocker mix.. boring but good! i must say coloring gels are much better than the food coloring my mom uses! sorry mom! Then we poored it into the pans..

Then in the oven they went... 

Then they came out and I got a little anxious because I was getting sleeping and failed to let them cool long enough.. so they crumbled when i took them out! oh well. I decided to use rainbow chip frosting too! its ryans favorite and i spiced it up with blue gel! 

The finished product.. YUMMY and festive! 

It was fun to make.. i learned i really need to be patient! I already have fun ideas in the future! i want to try to do it with party cake, make cupcakes, and maybe some red white and blue cake for the MXoN in CO!
